Weardale Show 2022: 18 pictures from 152nd event | The Northern Echo

A farming community united on Saturday (August 27) to stage the 152nd edition of the Weardale Show at St John's Chapel in County Durham. 

Hundreds of people were in attendance to see what the world of agriculture, horticulture and crafts has to offer - as the historic event had everything from archery to alpacas and from a climbing wall to chainsaw carving. 

On what was a sunny day for everyone there, the main ring was occupied by gundog displays, children's running events, and plenty of show events.

Alongside the family-friendly activities, the show is also a chance for local farmers and some from further afield to showcase the wide array of livestock they look after on their farms. 

Inside the judging tents, there was also plenty of horticulture and scone competitions were the order of the day when it came to food offerings.
